The wreck of the 9th Avenue
I did a double take when I discovered the date of this accident on the elevated railway in Manhattan – September 11th 1905. The account of the accident

Isobel: They seem to have managed to get a photographer to many scenes of disasters in those days. I suppose you could say that they are historical documents nowadays
