A chromolithograph

Chromolithography was a process by which multicoloured images were produced in the 19th century.

This is a little card which had been printed to celebrate a first communion in June 1895. Even today in France cards are printed and presented as souvenirs, but the best part is the sugared almonds…

Hello there. Just stopped in to say hello. You may not remember me after all this time. I truly enjoyed viewing all your vintage postcards. I only have the one blog now. I deleted Finding Life'e Enchantments but will still be focusing on adding little positive posts to Flying the Astral Plane. Hopefully, I will catch the blogging bug and be a regular again.
Blessings!

I just found your site and have enjoyed it. I like all the little facts about things I've never learned.

A Lady's Life: I think a lot depends on the quality of the paper as much as the ink.

Titania: I've never forgotten you. Please don't disappear again!

C. Taylor Brown: Thanks for visiting. I'll check yours out now.
