Don't move!

I’m always intrigued when I see children on the old postcards. I’m sure that the three on the steps would have been pleased to obey the instructions given by the photographer. They would have been so excited to see a man arrive with his camera and to be part of a postcard.

The first thing I looked at was the clothing. You know how I am. :o)

I imagine too that this would be very exciting to the children. Even the grownups.

Very nice postcard.

Titania; I'm fascinated by the way they dressed too. I imagine they weren't always so comfortable in their clothes - they used a lot of starch!

Me, by all means, would have run to look at the photographer who, at that time, surely had an intriguing "machine".

Along the same line of thought you and Titania were following; my Dad's Mom, born in 1903, showed my wife and I the combs she had from her girlhood that you used to comb your hair out each day because you only got to wash it once a week! It wouldn't be just the clothes affecting your comfort!

I watch a lot of old film; Georges Melies is a favorite, along with others of that vintage. Always intriguing are the interiors, the houses, etc., along with the clothing.

Thank you for sharing each of these wonderful treasures!

Peter: His camera would have been fascinating - even today!

Alan: We take so much for granted, I stayed with my granny when I was small and she dragged the bath into the kitchen, heated up the water and we bathed in front of the kitchen fire! I love the old musicals, the cosumes, the sets, the dance routines...
