Three sisters
A very special card all of the way from Russia in 1906. This card reminds me so much of myself with my sisters. I’m the one pretending to be interested in the grass growing on the left hand side.
Dom’s young man used to live in Russia so he came in useful in translating and research. The red cross is the symbol used by the Saint Evgueni Community, St Petersbourg who published the card. And others too. Here are a few of them.
If you visit the website, click on the images and you will enjoy the cards larger than life.

the two girls to the left make a really good composition and again I am interested in what the contents say (I presume it's in French - because I'm very bad with languages)
Perhaps you would be kind enough to translate one for me...words from the past open the door onto it.
I see you can still manage without comment moderation. I never had it on, until recently, when I went to my blogger blogs, after a month or so and had to turf out around 100 off the comments pages. They've got me on their systems and can leapfrog over word identification...futile people.

I've translated this one. Most of our cards are in French
"We’re heading towards Moscow
I send you a thousand good kisses as well as François
Your big sister"
I'll try to remember to mention the correspondance in future, though my French isn't that good and the writing isn't always easy...
I won't mention comment monderation, I don't want to tempt fate.
You certainly have a lovely collection of cards here which tell a story within itself.
So interesting.:)
