The terrasses at Monte-Carlo

This is where I’d rather be today. Although it’s sunny here, it’s rather cold and I’d prefer a warmer climate. This card was sent in 1927 from a teacher to a pupil she was obviously fond of who had sent her a letter from Paris. I think the card dates from a lot earlier than 1927 looking at the lovely hats and parasols and the length of the ladies dresses.

This is a very lovely time. When ladies were ladies and men were gentleman. I am a bit old fashioned I guess.

Everything on this photo speaks elegance. :o)

And in addition to Titania's comment, where she says already the important: Today when you go to this place, everybody is running around. And probably coming out of McDo. And walking around in shorts. Except in the winter, of course.

Titania; We'll have to go back in time together!

Peter: La Rochelle is the same, fortunately McDos is not situated in the really old centre of town.
