O la la!

These three ladies are modelling the latest fashions at the races at Auteuil. If you look closely at the lady on the left you will see she is wearing a ‘jupe-culotte’ which has divided legs! From what I can find out this was in 1911. The card has writing on the back but no date.

I absolutely love to look at the styles of clothing women wore. Makes me glad I live in this time period. Especially since we no longer have to wear rib cruching corsets!

Imagine the shock if those ladies saw what we wear today? My goodness! :o

Titania: I've got some lovely books on fashion from that period. It's fascinating to see how they went about things: Perming their hair with electricity for example!
